If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me

(Matthew 24)

THE GOSPEL

The Gospel: God’s Good News

1. God’s Design

In the beginning, God created everything good.

Humanity was made for relationship with Him.

We were created for love, joy, and purpose in His presence.
📖 Genesis 1:31 – “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.”

2. The Problem: Sin 💔

We turned away from God’s perfect design.

Sin is rebellion against God — choosing our own way.

Result: brokenness, guilt, separation, and death.
📖 Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

3. The Result: Brokenness 🌪

Brokenness shows up in pain, injustice, shame, addictions, emptiness.

We try to fix it on our own (success, religion, relationships) but fail.
📖 Proverbs 14:12 – “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.”

4. God’s Solution: Jesus ✝️

God did not leave us in our brokenness.

He sent Jesus Christ: fully God, fully man.

Jesus lived perfectly, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again.
📖 Romans 5:8 – “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

5. The Gift: New Life 🌱

Through Jesus, we can be forgiven and restored.

Salvation is not earned — it is a gift of grace received by faith.
📖 Ephesians 2:8-9 – “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith… it is the gift of God.”

6. Our Response 🙌

Repent: Turn from sin and brokenness.

Believe: Trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord.

Follow: Walk with Him daily in new life.
📖 Romans 10:9 – “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

7. The Result: Restoration 🌅

God gives us new identity and purpose.

We are adopted into His family.

We are sent to share the Good News with others.
📖 2 Corinthians 5:17 – “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”

The Invitation

God loves you.
Jesus gave His life for you.
Today, you can turn from brokenness and receive new life in Him.
